Himalaya Monastery Matte Painting

This is a matte painting I did for a tv series (Lasko). The producers wanted the building (Taktsang monastery in Buthan) to be covered in snow. Further the steepness of the site should be adressed by replacing the rather rolling hills in the background by an sharp-edged mountainside I took fom a alpine picture.

This drawing was used in a commercial for a new kind of pencil. I did an animated .gif to show the process.

Character Concepts

These are soome character concepts for an animated imagefilm. I was told to do 2 rather realistic looking dudes and two more cartoonish alternative versions of them. I'm curious what style they will go for.
